Food Safety: AFT
Aflatoxin:
Artron's One Step Aflatoxin B1 (AFT) Test is a rapid and convenient immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Aflatoxin B1 in grains, nuts, oilseeds, cereals, spices and other commodities at or above the cutoff level of 10 ng/ml (10 ppb). Aflatoxins are a group of mycotoxins produced by members of the Aspergillus genus (A. favus, A. parasiticus and A. nomius). Six major aflatoxins have been identified: aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, and G2 are produced by fungi; aflatoxins M1 and M2 are in vivo metabolites of aflatoxin B1 and B2 that are identified in milk, urine, and blood samples. The Aspergillus fungi are present throughout the world and their toxins are produced during growth and after harvest. All six aflatoxins have been assigned carcinogenic status by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and are considered to be among the strongest, naturally occurring carcinogens in the world. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has set a limit of 20 ppb in all food commodities for human and livestock.
With a sensitivty of 5ng/mL, our test kit is available in both a strip and cassette form. It is intended for professional use. For instructions on how to use our product, click here. Food Safety: CAP
Chloramphenicol
Artron's Chloramphenicol (CAP) Test is a rapid and convenient immunochromatographic assay. It is for detection of CAP in casing specimens. CAP is a broad-spectrum antibiotic originally derived from the bacterum streptomyces, and it binds to the 50S subunit of the ribosome to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. In humans it leads to hematotoxic side effects, so CAP is no longer a drug of choice for any infection. This has led to a prohibition of chloramphenicol for the treatment of animals used for food production. CAP is banned for use in food-producing animals in Canada and USA.
With a sensitivity of 0.3ppb, our test kit is available in both a strip and cassette form. It is intended for professional use. For instructions on how to use our product, click here. Food Safety: CBL
Clenbuterol
Artron's One Step Clenbuterol (CBL) Test is a rapid and convenient immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Clenbuterol in urine, feed, meat and other commodities at or above the cutoff level of 3 ng/ml (3 ppb). Clenbuterol is a drug prescribed to sufferers of breathing disorders as a decongestant and bronchodilator. It is most commonly available in salt form as Clenbuterol hydrochloride. Clenbuterol is also called “Lean meat Essence”, as it is a β2 agonist (Epinephrine β-adrenergic agonist) with some structural and pharmacological similarities to epinephrine, levophed and salbutamol. Epinephrine β-adrenergic agonist can help suppress the accumulation of fatty tissue in pigs, and can directly effect metabolization to lower and decompose a greater portion of fat as well as reduce the synthesis of fat.
With a sensitivityof 3 ng/mL (3ppb), our test kit is available in both a strip and cassette form. It is intended for professional use. For instructions on how to use our product, click here.
